At Rest Longreach (left) is complimented by the more abstract piece (right) which was commissioned especially for the space.

“I felt that the space needed something different, less subjective but not too different that it lost the theme of the room. The final work was a combination of nautical charts of the area and a mixture of paints, sand and resin to create a relevant and lively piece.”

Commissioning Artwork

So you would like to capture that place, memory, someone or something special in your life in a painting or piece of art. Maybe you need to fill the walls of your office to create that ambience you wish to do business in and ad to your company portfolio. Have you considered a commission?

Commissioning art lets you have respectful control over the work. You can discuss subject, colours, size, budget, framing; just about anything to suit your needs.

Commissions are nothing new to Leon and working with a client on a project gives him great pleasure in achiving the result the client was after.

Testimonials

In 2008 Multiplex Living commissioned Leon Holmes to paint over 200 works of art that were exhibited at the launch event for the sale of luxury apartments at Leighton.

Leon encapsulated life at Leighton in his works and the event proved to be a huge success with an overwhelming response from our guests who were delighted with the art.

Leon produced this amazing exhibition under very tight deadlines and was extremely professional to the very end.

From the Multiplex Living team, thank you!

Percy’s Porch

Hi Leon

This is just a short note to thank you for the wonderful painting you did for me recently – ‘Percy’s Porch’.

As you know this was a verandah I and my dog, Percy, spent many years hanging out on together, and sadly neither of them are around anymore, so I am especially glad to have such a beautiful painting hanging on my wall to remind me of those happy times.

Thanks for the trouble you went to recreate that scene in great detail from my photographs and descriptions, and for making it such a beautiful work of art in its own right. It is something I will always treasure.

Thanks Leon.
